Additional Remarks

  • Designated as “India Mike,” this Skyhawk is IFR and night-capable, making it ideal for pilots who demand versatility and reliability. It’s further enhanced with the installation of dual Garmin G5s, ensuring modern avionics and superior in-flight performance.
  • The Skyhawk N, also known as the Skyhawk/100, was first introduced in the 1977 model year, marking a new chapter in Cessna’s history. The “100” designation refers to its Lycoming O-320-H2AD engine, which delivers 160 horsepower (119 kW) and runs on 100-octane fuel—an upgrade from its predecessors that required 80/87 fuel. This particular aircraft, built under license by Reims in France, also benefits from factory-applied corrosion-proofing treatment, ensuring longevity and durability.
  • The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is the world’s most iconic four-seat, single-engine, high-wing aircraft. First flown in 1955, the Skyhawk has surpassed all others in terms of production numbers and popularity, with over 44,000 units built as of 2015. Developed from the 1948 Cessna 170, the 172 revolutionised general aviation with its tricycle landing gear, replacing the older tail-dragger design.
  • Notably, the 1977 “N” model introduced several advancements, including the option for rudder trim and pre-selectable flaps. This particular aircraft is equipped with the optional rudder trim, offering enhanced control and comfort during flight.
  • The Cessna 172’s reputation as the most successful aircraft in history is well-deserved. With production starting in 1956 and continuing to this day, it remains a cornerstone of aviation. The “N” model stayed in production until 1980 when it was succeeded by the 172P, also known as the Skyhawk P.
  • This is a rare opportunity to own a fully equipped, well-maintained Cessna F172N Skyhawk, a true legend in aviation history.
