Additional Remarks
- The Arrow needs no formal introduction but is a family of four-seat light aircraft built by Piper Aircraft and designed for flight training, air taxi and personal use. The PA28 family of aircraft comprises all-metal, unpressurised, single-engined, piston-powered airplanes with low-mounted wings and tricycle landing gear. They have a single door on the right side, which is entered by stepping on the wing.
- Production of the Piper PA28 began in 1961 and has been continuous since then. In 1979, the Arrow was restyled as the PA-28RT-201 Arrow IV, featuring a “T” tail.
- N987DC is a four-place, retractable landing gear landplane featuring a turbocharged Continental TSIO-360-FB engine of 200 hp (149 kW) and gross weight 2,900 lb (1,315 kg). It was first certified in November 1978.
- Currently located with us in the South West of England at Henstridge Airfield (EGHS).
