- Originally built in 1952 this superb De Havilland Supermunk was previously operated by the Royal Air Force Gliding & Soaring Association where it saw service from 1974 until 2017. After a short period at the Coventry Gliding Club, the aircraft was acquired by its current owner who has spared no expense in restoring this rare and unique version of De Havilland’s famous Chipmunk.
- The reliable and easily maintained Lycoming 180hp engine was also zero-timed by Multiflight. The aircraft has flown just 50 hours since restoration.
- This aircraft benefits from a Garmin G5, Becker AR6201 8.33 KHZ Radio, Becker Mode S Transponder, also new as at restoration are: Magnetos, Carburettor, Fuel Pump, Starter, and new Compass fitted November 2021.
