Additional Remarks
- The Cherokee Six 300 is highly versatile for its size. Equipped with a 300HP Lycoming engine and a 3-blade VP propeller, it can operate from strips as short as 400 meters, as this aircraft frequently does, or carry five passengers over longer distances with a useful load of nearly 1300 lbs. With a climb rate of over 1000 fpm, you’ll quickly reach an eco-cruise speed of an impressive 135 knots. This aircraft is ideal for hopping between farm strips on sunny days or traveling across the continent for five hours with passengers and luggage, while the Garmin avionics package handles most of the work. It has a well-deserved reputation as an incredibly stable IFR platform.
- The Cherokee Six and its successors feature a baggage compartment in the nose, between the cockpit and engine compartment, which can accommodate 100 lbs of luggage, and a large double door at the back for easy loading of passengers and another 100 lbs of cargo. This particular aircraft has the rear seats arranged in a club seating configuration.
- N199MW boasts an impressive IFR-capable avionics package and had a overhaul performed by MultiFlight in 2017 and more recently 6 overhauled cylinders, new camshaft and tappet set and new crankshaft gear in 2024. Cherokee Sixes are rarely available on the market, and 300HP variants with this specification are even rarer.
