How to Create a Great Aircraft Listing
Want to attract more attention and more potential buyers for your aircraft? We’ve prepared a simple step-by-step guide to help you create the best listing possible for your aircraft!
Step 1 Lots of Good Photos
There’s simply no doubt about it - photos sell! At Winglist, you can upload up to 100 high-resolution photos of your aircraft. Use this to your advantage! Good photos not only make your aircraft stand out but also build trust with potential buyers, leading to more inquiries. Here are some tips:
- Take photos of all exterior angles, including close-ups
- Show the interior and instrument panels
- Highlight mechanical components like the engine and propellers
- Include a video walk-around
- Take photos of any defects (no aircraft is perfect - by being honest up front more buyers will gain your trust and you will have more genuine inquiries)
Step 2 Provide Maintenance Details
Ensure potential buyers are well-informed about the airworthiness of your aircraft. To streamline the process and minimize unnecessary inquiries, we strongly advise including basic maintenance information, such as:
- Date of last Airworthiness Review (ARC)
- Time since overhaul (if applicable)
- Compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs)
- Any upcoming maintenance needs
Step 3 List Avionics and Equipment
Make it easy for potential buyers by listing avionics and equipment upfront. You can select items from our vast database, or simply add any missing ones. Remember, a detailed listing builds trust and generates more interest. Provide as much detail as possible to engage potential buyers.
Step 4 Additional Information
While not strictly necessary, providing additional information can help your listing stand out. Share any relevant details, from a general overview of the aircraft to your personal experiences. Consider filling out these sections:
-
Highlights (General Info tab):
Mention any unique features, upgrades, modifications, or notable achievements of the aircraft that potential buyers may find appealing. -
Exterior Notes (General Info tab):
Provide insights into the exterior condition of the aircraft, or noteworthy aspects of its appearance. This could include details about paint condition, or exterior upgrades. -
Interior Notes (General Info tab)
Offer details about the interior condition of the aircraft, including any recent refurbishments, upgrades, or notable features. -
Additional Remarks (General Info tab)
Include any additional information that doesn't fit into the other categories but could be valuable to potential buyers. This might include details about the aircraft's history, or any other pertinent information that could influence a buyer's decision. -
Engine information (Engine tab):
Mention any specific details about the engine's performance or maintenance history. -
Aircraft Specific Performance (Performance tab):
Although our database covers many models, we may not cover all numbers and each aircraft is unique!
By following these steps and keeping your listing positive and thorough, you'll increase its appeal and attract more genuine interest in your aircraft!
